As rates of violent crime increase so does the popularity of martial arts. Unfortunately, this means that injury rates in the sport have also soared as more amateurs participate without sufficient training or expertise, giving a comparable injury rate to that of an aggressive contact sport such as rugby. The main requirements of martial arts are co-ordination and strength in both joints and muscles, and overall fitness is important too. Enhancing these attributes can result in a much lower risk of injury.
Be-well have developed a programme of nutrients especially for martial arts, to be taken before, during and after exercise:
- The ‘before’ product package is designed to maximise the intake of carbohydrate prior to a major bout of exercise, utilising mainly long-chain glucose polymers.
- The ‘during’ product package is designed to maintain hydration during exercise whilst providing some energy in the form of a combination of carbohydrates.
- The ‘after’ product of package combines protein and carbohydrates to promote recovery, muscle resynthesis and growth.
Put the Be-well nutrition System for Sports and Fitness to the test and tighten your belt.
