The Holy Grail of all athletes and sportspeople, on paper the route to fitness is simple – eat healthily and train diligently and you should reach your goal. But, as many sportspeople know only too well, life is often a lot less straightforward. The body is a complex machine, and many factors influence its ability to reach full fitness potential.
